Soooo it’s SUMMER time and we all want to look hot, Hot, HOT! What should you do? You don’t need a gym membership or a pricey trainer to BUST it out! Take it back to these old school exercises, nothing fancy just some good old hard work will get YOU the results you deserve.

Here’s my Favorite OUTDOOR Fitness Circuit!

What do you need? Jump rope and a stopwatch.

What does it do? Works your legs, arms, chest, and cardio stamina.

Total TIME: 18 minutes, 3 sets of 6 minute SWEAT Circuits!

Rest: Because you’re using opposing muscle groups, you don’t need too rest much.  If you do need a little breakie-poo try to make it 60 seconds or less.

The CIRCUITTighter-leaner-2

  1. Squat Jumps – 1 minute. Start in a standing position and squat down to the ground so that your hamstrings are parallel to the ground. Once you hit parallel position EXPLODE off the ground! (beginners build-up strength before you Explode off the ground.)
  2. Push-UPS- 1 minute. You know how to do it!(beginners can do the modified version starting from the knees rather than toes.)
  3. Jump Rope- 2 minutes. Continuous basic jumping for.
  4. Rest- 1 minute.
  5. Lunge Jumps - 1 minute. Do a forward lunge bringing your right foot forward and bending at the knee so that your front hamstring is almost parallel to the ground, jump off the ground and replace your right lunged leg with your left lunged leg. Repeat this movement for 1 minute (beginners can do the modified alternating forward lunges, no jumps.)

Wondering where to do this great workout in NYC? The OUTDOOR NYC section is coming soon and will have all the info on great outdoor spots throughout the city.
