This Weekend: Drink Wine & Celebrate Women!

Ladies, this is our time. We have the opportunity to stand up proud and shout from the roof-tops all of our great accomplishments! The best part is that no one can say anything about it because it’s our month!

The month of March is Women’s History Month in the United States. At first, we only got a week, but in the late 1980s the National Women’s History Project took to the U.S. Congress and we’ve been celebrating throughout the whole month of March ever since!

This month works to recognize all of the hard work that has led us to where we are today. With every milestone from women’s suffrage to our roles in the work force to women in government, this is our month to look back and appreciate the women who have worked so hard to give us all the choices we have in today’s world.

With that in mind, City Winery has launched Divinale: Women of Wine Week. It is a full week of activities, tours and lectures dedicated to the sole purpose of recognizing great women wine makers!

This Saturday March 13th, they are hosting the Charity Grand Tasting – Women Wine Makers and Owners. It is a day completely filled with tasty wine related activities! You can sample one (or many) of over 70 kinds of wine, see one of three seminars for aspiring or already working wine-producers, and enter to win a trip to Piedmont, Italy filled with dining and wine loving in the country that started it all!

If there was ever an event to inspire you to grab all your girlfriends for a day of fun, drinks and valuable information, this is the one!

General Admission is $45 and the festivities start at 1 p.m.
