One of the greatest things about living in NYC is being privy to pretty much any kind of entertainment you can think of… on any day of the week! And for all you movie goers out there, this city certainly doesn’t disappoint. The sheer number of all of the different films that make their way to the theatres here, from the blockbusters to the documentaries to the shorts and indies, allows us to see how lucky we are to have so much choice.
Rooftop Films incorporates two favorite summer pastimes: being outside in the fresh air and catching a good flick! The Rooftop Films 2010 Summer Series “Underground Movies Outdoors” runs until the middle of August and includes films that everyone under the sun will enjoy, as practically every genre and category is being shown.
A charming and unusual aspect of this festival is that you get to view these movies outdoors. With venues such as El Museo Del Barrio and Solar One in Kips Bay, you’re able to take in a unique part of the city all while watching something cool on screen! And for all you serious film buffs out there, most screenings will feature a filmmaker question and answer period where you can ask all of your burning questions.
